Luggage matters

I've finally started with packing (and by packing, I mean randomly getting some of my stuff out of the closet and dumping them unceremoniously on my suitcase). So far, I am 15% done. However, from the looks of it, I think I'll be needing another suitcase. Or ten. *silently curses the 20 kg luggage limit*

Someone teach me the art of packing. Please?

P.S. Only a week left.

Eurail

I finally got my Eurail passes from the travel agency a while ago! I know they're supposed to be a bargain for foreigners who want to visit Europe but, Jesus, I still find the prices insanely expensive. Anyway, for those who are interested, I got a four-country Eurail pass (Italy-France-Benelux-Spain) and a global flexi Eurail pass. Believe me, given its prices, I'll definitely use my train passes well. So watch out, trains of Europe!

P.S. 12 days 'til I leave for France!
(I don't think I'm ready. Eep.)

Seriously, I need to pack my stuff now.

UK Visa

It's here. It really is.
Folks, I GOT MY UK VISA!!!
You've no idea how happy and excited and giddy and relieved I am. Going to the UK has always been a dream of mine and now, it's finally within my reach. I'd do cartwheels if I could.

(Okay, so maybe I'm not an Olsen twin. But besides the photo, the visa's 100% real!)

P.S. 25 days 'til my European adventure begins!

Seminars

Just got back from school, where I attended the last talk I'm required to go to before leaving for Europe - the country briefing for France. According to the university's Office of International Programs, "The country briefings (for selected countries) will help you gain a better grasp of the history, culture, society and cultural issues of your destination country." And that it did. Then, after the talk, the lovely people from L'oreal gave away gift bags for all the JTA students going to France! Awesome, right?

For those who are wondering, the other compulsory pre-departure seminars all JTA students were required to attend are:

Tomorrow, I'll be going back to the UK Visa Application Centre to pick up the result of my UK visa application. Very anxious to see whether or not I was granted the UK visa. Let's hope things work out for me!
